This week has been crazy. I have not felt to good at all, but I have had so much to do. I'm so lucky to have such a great team. There is not way I could do this without them.
I read another chapter tonight from peppermint-filled pinatas. The whole things was about Loving God and Loving our neighbors. Also he talked about the biblical bases for becoming light in our communities. Here's what I have learned about being apart of a local church, we love to talk about being light in our communities but when someone takes that literally many times they are seen as not setting a good example. In reality, the more we truly connect with Gods heart, the more He will send us out into relationships with other followers of Christ and with those who do yet follow Christ. Im telling you this book is really good!
Today my dad and I outlined our message for Easter. Sometimes its really hard for me to outline some thoughts, but my dad is a natural at outlining talks. We have so much planned for Easter this year at City Church. I think it going to be a great weekend. This sunday we are having more of a music celebration in the service. I am going to share some quick thoughts on "Hosanna." What does Palm Sunday really have to do with the church of today?
I would like to ask those that read this to be praying for our community. There are a lot of changes getting ready to happen this week and we need the direction of God. So, please be in prayer. Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy some time with your family.
P.S. Here is our brand for this Sunday. I asked our Creative Arts Director to paint the look and feel for Palm Sunday. She did an outstanding job!
