I got to work around 10:30 after working another 12 hour sunday. Had a lunch appointment with a guy from church. Then went to a three hour staff meeting. Came home and hung out with the family and finished the book peppermint-filled pinatas. Before I get into that here are some quick reflections from yesterday.
::Ethos went good. I only spoke for like 10 minutes. We put a lot of emphasis on music this week.
::I won the bet that I would only speak for 10 minutes
::Nunation went great! Danny did a great job speaking.
::Overall it was a great day, but I'm so excited about our Easter weekend!
Ok back to the book. I read over 100 pages today to finish the book. Overall the book was good, but I have to admit I read a lot of books like this. The major theme of the book is that the key to spreading Jesus to those around us is LOVE. Eric writes about the importance of diversity and how we much look beyond people who are not like us and just befriend them. So, if you are looking for a good easy read pick this book up.
I have a breakfast at 8:30 tomorrow to finalize some plans on the table this week. Also, we have lead team staff retreat coming up soon. Things seem to never slow down. But may we never forget that the best is yet to come. Which is our theme for easter 08.
